Chief of Staff to Founder & CEO

Entertainment & Media Company

Local candidates only

Schedule: Monday–Friday during standard business hours, with flexibility as business needs dictate. This position requires a true 24/7 ownership mindset and responsiveness outside traditional hours when priorities arise.

Compensation: Up to $225,000 DOE, plus comprehensive benefits.

Candidates must have prior experience operating as a true Chief of Staff, with meaningful strategy and operations experience within entertainment or media.

We are seeking an exceptional Chief of Staff to serve as the strategic right hand to the Founder & CEO of a fast-paced entertainment and media company. This highly visible leadership role is ideal for an experienced operator who excels at solving complex business challenges, translating a Founder’s vision into actionable plans, and driving execution across multiple stakeholders.

The Chief of Staff will serve as an extension of the CEO, leading strategic initiatives, improving organizational effectiveness, and ensuring cross-functional alignment and accountability. This individual must move seamlessly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution while bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to an entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead high-impact strategic initiatives and complex cross-functional projects on behalf of the CEO, anticipating risks and recommending thoughtful solutions.

Translate the CEO’s vision and priorities into clear, actionable direction for executives, creative teams, operational leaders, and external partners.

Synthesize complex or highly specialized information into concise, executive-level recommendations and decision points.

Partner with executive leadership to align organizational priorities, timelines, and objectives while proactively removing barriers to execution.

Exercise independent judgment to filter competing demands, prioritize decisions, and reduce executive bottlenecks.

Ensure the CEO is fully prepared for meetings through agenda management, research, briefing materials, presentations, and clearly defined follow-up.

Attend leadership meetings, strategic planning sessions, partner meetings, and external presentations, documenting decisions and driving accountability.

Draft executive communications, presentations, speeches, internal announcements, and other high-priority correspondence.

Build trusted relationships with internal leaders, investors, agencies, advisors, and key external stakeholders.

Serve as a communication bridge across departments, improving collaboration and ensuring continuity across strategic initiatives.

Partner with the CEO on annual planning, quarterly objectives, organizational priorities, and company-wide initiatives.

Provide strategic oversight and dotted-line leadership to the Senior Executive Assistant and broader executive support function.

Liaise with the CEO’s spouse, Family Office, Business Manager, legal counsel, and other trusted advisors across select business and personal matters.

Design and refine systems and workflows that improve efficiency, strengthen accountability, and empower teams to execute independently.

Manage special projects and evolving priorities as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of six years of experience in a true Chief of Staff, strategy, operations, consulting, or senior project leadership role.

Meaningful experience within entertainment or media is required, ideally supporting a Founder, CEO, or senior creative executive.

Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize information, connect business priorities, and translate vision into execution.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, executive presence, emotional intelligence, and sound judgment.

Proven ability to influence without direct authority and navigate complex organizational dynamics.

Highly organized, proactive, resourceful, and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.

Unwavering discretion when handling confidential business and personal matters.

Hands-on, collaborative approach with a genuine “no task is beneath me” mentality.
