About the Role
Scale Content Inc. is looking for an experienced Entertainment Anchor/Host to present original video coverage across entertainment and pop culture.
The ideal candidate will be a confident, engaging, and personable on-camera communicator with strong interviewing skills, excellent knowledge of the entertainment industry, and the ability to build a genuine connection with guests and audiences.
Key Responsibilities
• Host recurring entertainment shows, signature segments, interviews, explainers, roundups, and other repeatable formats.
• Conduct engaging virtual and in-person interviews with entertainment figures and industry professionals.
• Research guests and projects thoroughly and develop original, thoughtful, and entertaining interview questions.
• Attend and cover press junkets, premieres, red carpets, award shows, festivals, screenings, launches, conventions, and other relevant events.
• Capture usable video, interviews, natural sound, and supporting footage from events for digital, social, and longer-form coverage.
• Create behind-the-scenes coverage, reactions, event updates, and other social-first content from the field.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with publicists, studios, networks, labels, event organizers, and other industry contacts to support future interviews, invitations, press access, and junket opportunities.
• Monitor entertainment and pop-culture news, major industry developments, and emerging audience trends.
• Collaborate with producers on show concepts, scripts, interview preparation, segment structure, and the brand’s overall editorial identity.
• Adapt presentation and storytelling for long-form programs, digital video, and vertical platforms such as YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok.
What You Will Need
• Strong experience as an entertainment anchor, host, interviewer, presenter, video journalist, or on-camera content creator.
• A confident, warm, credible, and engaging on-camera presence across long-form and short-form formats.
• Strong knowledge of entertainment, pop culture, and major industry trends.
• Excellent interviewing skills and the ability to create natural, entertaining conversations with a wide range of personalities.
• The ability to research guests and projects and turn that research into distinctive questions and memorable moments.
• Strong communication, improvisation, script development, and editorial collaboration skills.
• Experience hosting recurring shows, covering events, conducting interviews, or producing social-first entertainment content.
• The ability to capture clear video and audio in event and field environments using professional or mobile production equipment.
• Flexibility to respond to changing schedules and last-minute opportunities, with availability to travel and work non-standard hours for press junkets, premieres, festivals, award shows, and other events.
Compensation: USD $60,000–$80,000 annually, based on experience, skills, and overall fit.
