Job Description
I'm Jamie Patricof, a film producer and media entrepreneur based in Los Angeles and I'm looking for a sharp, organized, tech-savvy Executive Assistant — my right hand. You'll keep the calendar tight, meetings set, travel seamless, and my personal logistics handled — at the center of a fast-moving two-pronged business: my media venture, Jamie's List (newsletter, podcast, live events) and my production company, Hunting Lane (film, TV, and documentaries). This role is fast-paced, detail-critical, and high-trust. This is a launching pad, not a long-term EA seat — built for someone ready to commit 2-3 years in the role and then grow into a larger role at one of the companies.

Compensation: $50,000–$65,000 DOE, plus benefits, PTO, and a performance-based year-end bonus

Components of the Job
No two days look the same. Broadly, the role spans the areas below, with executive support and travel at the center.
Executive & Office Support — the core of this role
- My calendar — scheduling, confirming, and constantly re-juggling meetings and calls as priorities shift, making sure everyone is on the right links and sending calendar invites
- Serve as a reliable, professional point of contact with business partners, executives, agents, press, and the office team — warm and discreet.
- Support Jamie's List — my media venture which includes a newsletter, podcast, and live events — scheduling, coordination, partner outreach, and administrative help to keep it moving alongside everything else.
- Support project coordination across Hunting Lane's film and TV projects from development (submissions, script and document organization, research) to production (disseminating call sheets and shooting schedules, organizing feedback on cuts, etc)
- Manage inboxes, documents, contacts, and shared trackers; prepare letters and materials for signature; keep everything organized and findable.
Travel & Itinerary Planning — a major part of this role
- Plan and book complex domestic and international travel: flights, hotels, rental cars, ground transportation/car services and, most importantly, meal reservations
- Build detailed, trip-ready itineraries and my signature "food grids" — researched restaurant and activity lists for each destination, kept current and organized.
- Coordinate travel logistics with the family assistant when trips involve the family, so the hand-offs are seamless.
Events
- Help coordinate events— including political events, live podcast tapings and cocktail parties — from planning through day-of logistics.
Finance & Administrative
- Handle expense and account admin for me: Amex and banking logins, pulling reports, and helping track and categorize business spending; working in tandem with my accountant
- Research, price-compare, and gather quotes (travel, vendors, services) so I can decide quickly.
How This Role Operates Day to Day
- It moves fast. Requests come in throughout the day and plans change same-day; you'll re-prioritize calmly and keep everything from dropping.
- It's detail-critical. Flights, reservations, times, and confirmations have to be right — accuracy matters more than speed.
- Your work schedule may shift as I travel, so flexibility is a plus.
- You'll work hand-in-hand with my family assistant — clear communication and good partnership between the two roles is essential.
Who Thrives Here
- Curious and hard-working, a resourceful problem solver — someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days look the same. Learns on their feet, asks the right questions, and brings their own ideas to the table. Exceptionally organized, proactive, and detail-critical — tracks many moving parts and stays a step ahead.
- Excellent communicator — clear, warm, and professional with partners, executives, press, and the family assistant; punctual and reliable.
- Trustworthy and discreet with confidential business, financial, and personal matters.
- Reads widely — from The New York Times and The Atlantic to Deadline, Puck, ESPN, Air Mail, and beyond. Genuinely curious about and up on pop culture, food, art, and politics; culturally fluent across business, sports, and entertainment, locally and internationally.
- Tech-fluent — strong with AI tools, Google Workspace (Calendar/Docs/Sheets), Airtable, Zoom, and travel/booking tools; picks up new systems fast.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience as an EA, coordinator, or assistant — ideally at a talent agency or management company, or media company (from Puck to Prof G to The Ringer or a comparable fast-paced environment such as a political campaign, a newsroom, an event company, or music tour operation).
- Strong knowledge of AI tools, Google Suite, and Airtable
- Well versed in politics, entertainment, food, music, and social issues, with a genuine interest in the subjects mentioned above.
- Proven travel-planning and calendar-management experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication and excellent judgment.
- Ultimately, the most important qualification above everything else is someone who is kind, hard-working, curious, loyal, a team player, personable, and has a great attitude.
Why This Is a Great Job
- A central, high-trust seat with real ownership and exposure to the business and the people in it.
- Variety and pace — you'll build a rare, broad skill set across executive support, media, travel, and operations.
- A dynamic environment at the intersection of media, film, food, and travel.
- Competitive compensation, benefits, paid time off, and a year-end bonus.
- Real room to grow. After 2-3 years in the role with good performance, the right person can grow into an operating or leadership role at Jamie's List as it grows. You learn by being my right hand and grow alongside the business, not via a traditional executive track.
