Fall 2026 Internship - Groundlings Theatre

We currently offer three internship tracks:
1. Administrative Internship
2. Social Media & Marketing Internship
3. Tech Production Intern
Administrative Internship
Interns in this track will work closely with our Theatre and School staff to support daily operations. Tasks may include assisting with class registration and student support, event coordination, front-of-house operations, customer service, and general office duties. They also assist with daily projects for both the theatre and school. This internship is ideal for students interested in performing, arts administration, theatre operations, and education programs.
Social Media & Marketing Internship
This track is designed for students with a passion for digital storytelling and marketing. Interns will help brainstorm and create social media content, draft promotional materials, support digital campaigns, and track engagement analytics. Ideal candidates will have a strong eye for visual storytelling, some knowledge of platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, and an interest in comedy or entertainment branding.
Technical Production Internship
Interns in this track will work closely with our Tech Production Department to support all aspects of technical production for shows at The Groundlings, as well as support of daily facility operations. Tasks may include: prop build assistance, workshop/prop/costume organization and maintenance, tech equipment inventory, operations/facilities research and support for both the theatre and school, potential tech training on light/sound boards and stage management, and general department and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be a full-time college student (junior, senior, or graduate level)
- Must be receiving college credit for the internship
- Availability for approximately 20-24 hours per week over 10–12 weeks
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit
- Customer service experience or a background in theatre is a plus!
