Position Summary

We are an established production company working across documentary and unscripted content. We’re seeking a freelance IT & Post-Production Specialist to provide ongoing temp coverage when our IT Manager and/or Media Manager are out of office.

This role combines post-production, media management, and internal IT support, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations for all employees and editorial teams.

Schedule: variable, as needed

Hours: 9:30am-6:30pm

Rate: $325/day

Required on-Site: This position is required to work from our office in DUMBO, Brooklyn.

Functions and Responsibilities 

1. Overall Company IT Management

  • Fast and professional verbal and written communication, with less than 15 minutes expected in response time to Support tickets
  • Troubleshoot general desktop user issues in person 
  • Manage and track software licenses for all company platforms
  • Act as a gatekeeper for access to sensitive company material
  • Onboard new freelancers to Google Workspace and all necessary company platforms
  • Support any company software issues (Google, Airtable, Microsoft, Adobe, Miro, Coronet etc.) 

2. Post-Production Support 

  • Act as the primary technical support for post-production operations, providing front-line troubleshooting and technical diagnostics for Avid MC, Davinci Resolve, Adobe Creative Suite for both in person and remote users
  • Administrate Facilis Hub Storage for all project teams
  • Setup new users on Jump Desktop and troubleshoot as necessary
  • Act as an Administrator with Media Silo, Frame.io, Media Shuttle, Aspera, Sonix.ai, Louper.io
  • Prepare and distribute DIT kits for Production Shoots
  • Manage media trackers and organize physical storage
  • Transcode OCM in Resolve 20 with custom LUTs
  • Conform AAFs turnovers and consolidate media for Color and Picture Finishing in Resolve 20
  • Run LTO backups as necessary using SDNA Fabric
