Social Media Manager
Los Angeles (Brentwood) | Hybrid | Contract
About the Role
We're seeking a highly creative and organized Social Media Manager to oversee the day-to-day social presence for a leading podcast and the personal brands of its two hosts.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves creating content, staying ahead of trends, and turning long-form conversations into engaging social content. You'll attend podcast recordings, capture behind-the-scenes moments, edit short-form videos, manage publishing across platforms, engage with our community, and use performance insights to drive continued growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage social media across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, and LinkedIn
- Develop and execute content calendars and publishing schedules
- Capture behind-the-scenes content during weekly podcast recordings in Los Angeles
- Edit high-performing short-form video for Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
- Create graphics, quote cards, and carousel posts
- Coordinate with podcast production and external partners on episode launches and sponsored content
- Monitor comments and direct messages, fostering an engaged online community
- Track analytics and provide regular reporting with recommendations for growth
- Stay on top of platform trends and proactively bring new content ideas to the team
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience managing social media for a brand, creator, podcast, or media company
- Proven experience growing social media accounts and increasing engagement
- Strong video editing skills using CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar software
- Comfortable filming content on an iPhone in fast-paced environments
- Excellent copywriting and communication skills
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment
- Based in Los Angeles and available for in-person recording days (primarily Tuesdays in Brentwood)
