Job Description
The 42nd Boston Film Festival is interviewing candidates for positions starting now through the Festival occurring September 17th to 21st. This role is ideal for current or recently graduated college and university students or anyone who is looking to gain experience within the industry.
Positions would involve a wide variety of tasks depending on the candidates’ skills and experiences. Possible areas of interest include:
Marketing (Remote and In-person)
Events planning(In-Person)
Screening Intern(Remote)
Media & social media outreach(Remote)
Video editing(Remote)
Administration(Remote)
Photographer(In-Person)
In person needs (More information to come)
Requirements:
- Must be able to attend the festival if you are choosing an in person role (some are remote leading up to the festival)
- Must be able to provide your own transportation to and from the festival
- Minimum requirement for in person volunteering: 1 day (multiple or all days)
This is an unpaid volunteer position which provides the opportunity to have a significant role in a film festival to add to a professional, college or post-graduate resume. Special consideration given to those with experience in event planning or the entertainment industry.

Hours will be part time, ranging between 8 to 20 hours per week. Interns will also be given access to watch all of the films virtually and the opportunity to attend a selection of events during the Festival.
