The Role
Reports to: VP, Brand Partnerships
As an Account Executive, you’ll be responsible for growing EightPM’s brand client portfolio. We’re looking for someone with strong sales fundamentals who is ready to take on larger, more strategic opportunities as they grow in the role.
You should already be comfortable prospecting, handling rejection, following up persistently, managing objections, negotiating, and asking for the business. We’ll help you apply those skills within EightPM’s entertainment marketing model and sales process.
You’ll build pipeline, develop client relationships, create tailored pitches and proposals, and own the sales process through negotiation and close, with opportunities to take on larger and more strategic deals as you grow in the role.
Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, building pipeline, delivering compelling pitches, negotiating, and closing new business.
- Develop and deliver persuasive, tailored pitch decks and proposals that connect brand objectives with EightPM’s integration strategy.
- Lead client meetings, pitches, and negotiations, both virtually and in person, with confidence.
- Build trust and credibility with decision-makers by positioning EightPM as a trusted partner in entertainment marketing.
Negotiation & Influence
- Anticipate objections and confidently address client concerns with data, insights, and storytelling.
- Navigate negotiations with clients and partners to achieve strong commercial outcomes.
- Balance creative storytelling with commercial objectives in every client interaction.
Collaboration & Internal Impact
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery aligns with what was promised in the pitch.
- Share insights and learnings that help improve the quality of EightPM’s pitches and sales approach.
- Maintain precise sales reporting and forecasting in HubSpot and Monday.com.
Required Experience & Skills
- 1+ years of direct B2B sales or business development experience.
- Experience within advertising, media, entertainment marketing, branded content, sponsorships, experiential, influencer marketing, PR, or another consultative marketing service is strongly preferred.
- Experience closing five- or six-figure new business deals is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, pitch, negotiate, and close new business independently.
- Comfortable with outbound prospecting and building pipeline.
- Persistent and resilient, with the ability to stay engaged through rejection, longer sales cycles, and repeated follow-up.
- Strong communicator who can build rapport quickly and present ideas clearly.
- Comfortable handling objections and negotiating commercial terms.
- Organized and disciplined with CRM, pipeline management, and follow-up.
- Culturally curious, with a genuine passion for TV, film, and pop culture and an awareness of what’s next in entertainment.
- Familiarity with tools such as HubSpot, Monday.com, Slack, and Happeo is a plus.
- Additional languages are a plus but not required.
