Fresh Tape Media is looking for a Junior Production Designer to join our team. Fresh Tape Media works with brands, sports properties, and media companies to produce one-of-a-kind, made-for-social content. From quick-turn productions to fully custom builds, we help brands drive engagement by creating content people actually want to watch and share and memorialize a moment!


This role is ideal for someone early in their career who has foundational production design skills, some hands-on experience, and is ready to take on more responsibility with some of the most iconic brand names in the world! You’ll support the production team across a variety of projects, contributing to concept development, set design, on-set execution and liaising with vendors & fabrication partners. An eye for design (interior, spatial, experiential, or production) and a proactive, team-first attitude are essential.


Responsibilities include:

Research & Concept Development

  • Support the development of visual references, mood boards, and design directions for projects
  • Contribute ideas during early concepting phases
  • Assist in testing materials and approaches for feasibility and execution


Set Design & Planning

  • Create sketches, mocks, technical drawings and 3D models (Adobe Suite, SketchUp, LayOut, V-Ray preferred)
  • Help build and refine production design presentations for internal and client-facing use
  • Maintain organized production design documentation across projects
  • Be able to answer internal and external questions to production design approach confidently


Prop & Material Sourcing

  • Source props, set decor, and materials aligned with creative direction and budget
  • Communicate with vendors, rental houses, and fabricators for quotes, availability, and identify any opportunities for efficiencies
  • Track purchased and rented items, helping maintain inventory across projects
  • Coordinate logistics for deliveries, pickups, and returns
  • Develop and maintain a knowledge base of vendors, their product ranges and policies pertaining to shipping, delivery and returns


On-Set Execution

  • Assist in building, assembling, and styling sets on shoot days
  • Support prop placement and ensure visual consistency with the intended design
  • Help troubleshoot design challenges in real-time during production
  • Participate in strike and breakdown, including planning for reuse or storage of materials
  • Support Production Designer on larger, more complex activations
  • Assist the Production Designer in coordinating Art Department members and logistics as needed
  • Occasionally represent Fresh Tape Media as the sole on-site Production Designer for activations


Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong portfolio with spec work and/or realized concepts
  • 2 years of relevant experience (internships, freelance, academic work, or entry-level roles count!)
  • Basic knowledge of on-set etiquette and protocols is desirable
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop, G-suite, SketchUp and/or other tools for 3D modeling, rendering and creation of technical drawings
  • Strong understanding of spatial design and visual composition
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Organized and able to keep track of assets, materials, approvals, and timelines
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate across teams
  • Self-starter who can take direction but also work independently when needed
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, and problem-solving mindset


Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $55k - $65k annual base salary, commensurate with experience

Work Location: NYC or Denver, CO (3 days in office: Tues-Thurs. Mon and Fri remote)

Reports To: Senior Production Designer

Anticipated Start Date: October 1, 2026
