Job Summary

The Creative Manager drives the development and execution of creative strategies across multiple platforms, ensuring all visual communications align with brand standards and organizational goals. This role owns the full creative lifecycle, from concept through delivery, while managing priorities, advancing projects, and collaborating cross-functionally to produce high-impact, on-brand work.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Translate briefs into strategic, compelling visual concepts that support marketing and organizational objectives.
  • Manage and prioritize a high-volume project pipeline, establishing timelines and ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
  • Execute and oversee the design process from concept through final delivery, ensuring high-quality output across all deliverables.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (marketing, partnerships, events, etc.) to develop creative solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Maintain and evolve brand standards, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Develop assets across multiple platforms, including social media, digital advertising, print, broadcast, and environmental/event graphics.
  • Present creative concepts and strategies to stakeholders, clearly articulating rationale, vision, and expected impact.

Other Duties:

  • Support special projects and creative initiatives that drive innovation and strengthen brand presence.
  • Continuously assess and improve creative processes, tools, and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.



Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong ability to guide projects and influence creative outcomes without direct people management responsibility.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
  • Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of branding, storytelling, and audience engagement.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and related design tools.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to balance hands-on design execution with strategic oversight and ownership.

 

Education & Experience:

  • Degree in Digital Arts, Graphic Design, related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum one (3) years’ experience working in creative and design required.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite required.
  • Experience in digital advertising preferred.
  • Understanding or experience of National Governing Bodies (NGB’s) structures, roles, and objectives in relation to the Olympic Movement and athlete relations.



Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel, both domestically and internationally, up to 20% of the year.
  • Must be able to lift up to ten (10) pounds.
  • This position works in an office setting in the USA Swimming headquarters office in Colorado Springs, CO; must be willing to relocate to Colorado Springs, CO, or the surrounding area.

 

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary range for this position is $58,000 - $62,000 annually.
  • Bonus Eligibility: Based on company performance, this position may be eligible for an annual bonus target of 7.50%

USA Swimming expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would USA Swimming consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
