ABOUT THE POSITION
The Nightside Social Media Production Coordinator role is a project-based position with a 6 month term.
Paramount Global is seeking a Nightside Social Media Production Coordinator to support The Daily Show across all social media platforms. This position supports the nightside social team, editors, and senior creative leads for the series. Coordinators must be comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates should have a background in social media, content creation/strategy, engagement and growth. Experience in news and/or entertainment is also helpful.
The ideal candidate is passionate and knowledgeable about The Daily Show and can work with a team to strategically adapt the show content for social media every night. Tasks include selecting clips, writing copy, liaising with other teammates and editors, and ensuring the proper publishing of every digital asset each night. This candidate should be able to work independently, be meticulous and solutions-oriented, and have a can-do attitude.
This position will be based at the Paramount Global headquarters (LA or NY), working with a hybrid remote / in office schedule. Hours are 4PM-1AM ET Monday-Thursday, 11AM-6PM ET Friday, with flexibility for some weekend business needs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support nightside social team on The Daily Show
- Handle digital production related tasks for all Daily Show social platforms quickly and meticulously
- Schedule and publish social content across all Daily Show platforms
- Write smart, engaging editorial copy for posts across all Daily Show social platforms
- Create stylized images from show content on a daily basis
- Support process of encoding audio and video clips and serve as point person for flow of assets and requests
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Retrieve and process production assets as directed by Producers
- Work with Project Managers to ensure that process, workflow, documentation, and tools are upheld and/or improved to department standards
- Ideate and produce unique social content that aligns with the show’s voice and identity
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- 2+ years of digital production experience at a major commercial media, entertainment or creative brand or interactive agency
- Ability to work quickly and meticulously in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experienced knowledge of Photoshop and an eye for design
- Working knowledge and understanding of digital technologies and platforms
- Intimate familiarity with Facebook, X, Instagram, Threads, YouTube, Bluesky, and TikTok, as well as familiarity with Sprinklr and Meta Business Studio
- Strong knowledge of current events, politics, internet culture and trends
- Basic video editing skills and Premiere experience a plus but not required
- May be located on the East Coast or West Coast
