POSITION OVERVIEW

The Manager of Production Finance supports the financial management of productions from development through final delivery and closeout. This role partners closely with the VP of Production Finance, Corporate Accounting, Production Management, and freelance production accounting teams to ensure accurate reporting, financial compliance, and efficient production operations across all active projects. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in entertainment production finance and accounting within a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the VP of Production Finance with day-to-day financial oversight of all productions.
  • Supervise and support Staff Production Accountants across the business.
  • Review weekly cost reports, cash flows, and financial reporting for accuracy and budget alignment.
  • Monitor production spending and help resolve financial issues proactively.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and network/studio requirements.
  • Oversee production banking activity, reconciliations, vendor onboarding, and electronic payment workflows.
  • Support production closeouts, including trial balance review and final financial deliverables.
  • Monitor balance sheet activity and resolve outstanding accounting issues.
  • Partner with Corporate Accounting and Production Management on inter-company billing and reconciliations.
  • Assist with tracking and reconciling domestic and international production tax incentives.
  • Support production audits, tax incentive audits, and other financial reviews as needed.
  • Oversee allocation and reconciliation of production-related corporate card expenses.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5–7+ years of experience in production finance, production accounting, or entertainment accounting.
  • Entertainment industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing or supervising Production Accountants.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with production accounting software preferred.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
