POSITION: NYFF Production Manager
DEPARTMENT: Production
LOCATION: New York, New York (in person)
TERM: Full-Time; Seasonal (14 Weeks): 7/13/2026 - 10/16/2026
REPORTS TO: Assistant Director, Production

RATE: $1,300/week


JOB OVERVIEW

Working as part of the Festival Production team, the Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a discrete portfolio of NYFF screenings, activations and events, including the production of NYFF’s off-campus venues. The Production Manager helps to hire and then supervises key members of the Festival Production team, ensuring staff collaborate effectively in order to produce a high quality, well organized festival.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES
  • Hire and supervise key seasonal production staff, including Partner Venue Assistants, Resource Coordinator, Production Assistants and additional team members as required;
  • Produce a designated portfolio of screenings, activations, spaces, and events;
  • Manage NYFF’s activations at off-campus venues, serving as the primary point of contact for both venue and FLC staff;
  • Collaborate closely with the Assistant Director, Production to establish and maintain high quality communications processes across all festival staff and stakeholders;
  • Partner closely with the Events, Partnerships, and Operations teams to ensure all activations and events receive necessary production support;
  • Coordinate and execute load-ins and load-outs across assigned venues;
  • Oversee festival-wide inventory tracking across all Festival spaces;
  • Manage a portfolio of vendors, including contracting coordination, invoicing tracking, and expense reconciliation;
  • Oversee deployment of festival signage across all venues;
  • Create and maintain floor plans for festival venues;
  • Prepare and submit a comprehensive post-festival wrap report.


EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
  • 5+ years of experience in film festival, live event, or conference production;
  • Strong project management and organizational skills;
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams;
  • Calm and solutions-oriented under pressure;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting timelines in a deadline-driven environment;
  • Keen attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Comfortable working out of our brick and mortar offices and venues;
  • Proficiency with Google Suite.
