Job Description
Condé Nast seeks a Programming Manager to join the global events team. The role will require the individual to identify speakers and companies that are relevant to Condé Nast’s brands and secure them for participation.
The Programming Manager role will be working closely with the Programming Senior Director, Associate Manager, and the SVP, Global Events & Business Services as well as the production, editorial, and marketing teams to develop content plans, ideate and book speakers, develop run of shows, execute talent communications and materials, manage programming budgets, and more.
The role requires the ability to network with and develop relationships with publicists, studios, and notables, in addition to developing deep relationships with internal stakeholders including editorial leadership.
Primary Responsibilities:

Ability to tell a clear story with each event, collaborate easily with editorial leadership, solicit the insights of internal and external stakeholders to land on the best vision and deliver on event goals and attendee priorities.

Collaborate with kindness, curiosity, inclusion, and solutions in the pursuit of securing the best possible speakers and programming for our events.

Assess key programming needs for events and work with programming colleagues to set a plan to achieve goals on deadline.

Work with programming colleagues to proactively establish processes, timelines and best practices.

No task is too big or too small; work includes participating in brainstorms and talent ideation with editorial leadership, leading calls with talent representatives and talent, developing/sending speaker materials such as contracts, schedules, and prep documents, drafting and uploading copy for event websites, assisting with organizing talent logistics including booking travel.

Management of programming budgets, invoicing, and actualization.

Provide programming and events teams with additional support as needed.

Manage talent on site and assist with wrangling and stage management as needed.
Skills/Experience:
-
3-5+ years of experience in programming, media, events, publicity, or related field

Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and organizational skills

A self-starter with a bias to action. Able to understand the brief, build a strategy to deliver and possess a sense of ownership. Comfortable and confident with consensus-building

Expertise in the media and entertainment landscape, thought leaders/tastemakers, news, and other relevant topics to Condé Nast brands

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment

Ideally have a rolodex of publicists, studios, corporate comms and talent

Ability to balance interests of editorial, production, commercial, brand audience, and event attendees

Possess a service-oriented mindset to ensure a white glove experience for all speakers.

Highly organized with excellent attention to detail

Ability to adapt and change quickly with a solution-mindset to meet shifting priorities

Experienced with G Suite, Excel, Keynote, PowerPoint
Base Salary: $77,000 - $103,000
