Senior Manager, FP&A

HYBE AMERICASanta Monica, CAPosted

Job Description

About HYBE America

HYBE America is part of HYBE, a global leader at the intersection of music, entertainment, and technology. We represent some of the world’s most influential artists and continue to expand our creative and cultural impact across the Americas. At HYBE, we believe in the power of music and foster a culture built on Passion, Autonomy, and Trust.

Position Overview

Our growing Finance department at HYBE America is seeking a seasoned Senior Manager, FP&A with hands-on experience in financial planning and analysis. The ideal candidate is a strategic finance partner who thrives at the intersection of rigorous analysis and cross-functional collaboration — someone equally comfortable diving into month-end variance analysis, building financial models for emerging revenue streams, and presenting insights to senior leadership. This person will also lead a team of two direct reports, so strong people-management instincts matter as much as technical FP&A depth.

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in our Santa Monica office, with in-person collaboration 3 days per week and remote work 2 days per week. Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to the greater Los Angeles area at their own expense prior to their start date — we are not offering relocation assistance for this role, though it may be considered on a case-by-case basis for select candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budget and monthly rolling forecasts, collaborating with cross-functional leaders to align financial targets with strategic company goals.
  • Month-End Close & Variance Analysis: Drive the monthly and quarterly close process from an FP&A perspective, delivering detailed variance analysis (Actuals vs. Budget/Forecast), margin reviews, and working capital insights.
  • Cash Flow & Liquidity Forecasting: Partner with Finance and Treasury to develop and manage short and long-term cash flow forecasts. Monitor the cash impact of artist advances, royalty payout cycles, and capital investments.
  • Operational Business Partnering: Act as a dedicated strategic finance partner to department heads and leaders of business units. Manage corporate project costs, operating expenses, and headcount planning while proactively tracking budget adherence and identifying opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency.
  • Executive Reporting & Support: Support financial reporting and performance reviews for global HQ and C-level executives. Partner with leadership to craft strategic narratives, build presentation materials, anticipate questions, and deliver actionable insights on business health.
  • Data Strategy & Dashboards: Partner closely with BI and Insights teams to develop dynamic performance dashboards and maintain strict data integrity, proactively managing the complexities that arise from high volumes of new transactions and emerging business activities.
  • Consolidations & Allocations: Partner with the Accounting team to maintain robust internal controls and manage complex financial consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and global shared service allocations.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance FP&A processes, forecasting methodologies, financial models, and management reporting to drive automation, increase accuracy, and ensure scalability as the organization grows.
  • Ad-Hoc Financial Analysis: Perform complex, time-sensitive financial analyses to support special projects, strategic initiatives, and executive requests as new business opportunities or questions arise.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering an environment of analytical rigor, sound business judgment, and a strong sense of ownership.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 7+ years of progressive FP&A experience. A background in the music, media, or entertainment industry is strongly preferred, along with an understanding of industry-specific financial drivers and revenue streams.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills with a proven track record of synthesizing complex data into clear, executive-ready presentations and collaborating effectively across global time zones.
  • Agility & Quick Thinking: You are an adaptable problem solver who thinks on your feet, manages multiple priorities thoughtfully, and enjoys the energy of a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Management Experience: 2+ years of experience directly managing and developing team members, with a track record of building analytical rigor and ownership within a team.
