Staff Accountant

Role:

Three Six Zero is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant with prior experience in the music or entertainment industry. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations and play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, timely reporting, and strong internal controls. You will work closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

This is a remote position with weekly or as-needed onsite presence at our Beverly Hills office.

Responsibilities:

• Support daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
• Process vendor invoices, artist payments, and expense reimbursements accurately and on a timely basis
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts; prepare and manage supporting schedules
• Assist with month-end and year-end close, including accruals, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Ensure transactions are recorded accurately in NetSuite in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Prepare and maintain weekly cash flow reports and assist with cash forecasting
• Support budget and forecast preparation, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasts
• Review expense accounts for accuracy and record reclassifications as needed
• Prepare standard financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Assist with audit, tax, and compliance requests by preparing documentation and schedules
• Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies
• Perform budget vs. actual and variance analysis for management reporting
• Adhere to internal accounting policies and procedures to maintain data integrity and control standards
• Support ad hoc reporting and special projects as assigned

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or CPA-track a plus
• Hands-on experience with AP/AR, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP; exposure to entertainment-specific guidance (ASC 926, ASC 985-20, ASC 606) is a plus
• Experience using NetSuite or similar ERP systems
• Comfortable manipulating data across systems (imports/exports, reconciliations, reporting)
• Familiarity with royalty accounting and music-industry revenue streams is a plus
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Clear communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion with confidential information
• Genuine interest in music and the entertainment industry

Nice-to-Have

• Experience supporting multi-entity or intercompany accounting
• Exposure to international vendors, currencies, or royalty statements
• Prior experience in a growing or fast-changing organization
• Interest in leveraging AI-enabled tools and automation to improve accounting workflows
