About the Opportunity

An established Los Angeles creative production company is seeking an entrepreneurial, commercially driven, and creatively minded Studio Sales & Operations Manager to lead the growth, positioning, and day-to-day operations of its premium photography, film, and event rental campus in Silver Lake.

We're looking for someone who sees more than a studio rental facility. We want someone who can recognize the potential of a space, develop a compelling story around it, and translate that vision into new business.

This is a hands-on leadership position combining sales, business development, marketing strategy, creative community engagement, and studio operations.

The ideal candidate is a natural relationship builder, strategic thinker, and resourceful problem solver who can bring fresh perspectives and unconventional ideas to the business.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute a proactive sales strategy to increase studio bookings, revenue, and utilization.
  • Build and maintain relationships with production companies, advertising agencies, brands, photographers, directors, event producers, and other creative professionals.
  • Identify new business opportunities, establish strategic partnerships, and develop recurring client relationships.
  • Manage incoming rental inquiries, prepare proposals, negotiate rates, conduct tours, and convert prospective clients into confirmed bookings.
  • Develop new revenue opportunities through studio packages, partnerships, events, and creative programming.

Marketing & Brand Positioning

  • Develop marketing initiatives that strengthen the studio's presence within the Los Angeles creative and production community.
  • Collaborate on digital marketing, social media, photography, promotional materials, and website content.
  • Build relationships with industry organizations, creative communities, and potential brand partners.
  • Identify opportunities for showcases, networking events, and other activations that introduce new clients to the facility.
  • Develop compelling ways to position and market the campus beyond traditional studio rentals.

Studio Operations & Client Experience

  • Oversee daily studio operations, bookings, scheduling, and client coordination.
  • Ensure the facility is consistently maintained, organized, presentable, and ready for production.
  • Coordinate studio staff, vendors, maintenance, equipment, and operational resources.
  • Manage client walkthroughs, production requirements, and on-site logistics.
  • Establish efficient procedures that improve the booking process, customer experience, and day-to-day operations.
  • Maintain a high standard of service and professionalism across all client interactions.
  • Financial & Commercial Performance
  • Take ownership of studio revenue targets, booking performance, and business development initiatives.
  • Monitor utilization, pricing, competitive positioning, and revenue opportunities.
  • Develop regular reporting on bookings, sales pipeline, client activity, and commercial performance.
  • Collaborate with company leadership on pricing strategies, operational budgets, and long-term growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in studio sales, business development, creative production, location rentals, hospitality, events, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of the Los Angeles photography, film, advertising, and creative production landscape.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, generate leads, negotiate agreements, and close business.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and client service skills.
  • Experience coordinating multiple bookings, clients, vendors, and operational priorities simultaneously.
  • Commercially minded, self-directed, and comfortable taking ownership of measurable business objectives.
  • Creative approach to marketing, partnerships, and business development.
  • Ability to work primarily on-site in Silver Lake, Los Angeles.
  • Experience managing a photography or film studio, production facility, event venue, or comparable creative business is strongly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $80,000 annually.
  • Performance Bonus: Eligible for up to $15,000 annually, with quarterly bonus opportunities of up to $3,750 tied to established performance objectives.
  • Total Potential Annual Cash Compensation: Up to $95,000.
  • Health Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision insurance benefits.
  • Retirement: 401(k) plan.
  • Paid Time Off: Unlimited PTO, subject to company policy and operational requirements.
  • Employment: Full-time, primarily on-site in Silver Lake, Los Angeles.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to take meaningful ownership of a distinctive creative production facility and play a direct role in shaping its commercial growth.

We're looking for someone who brings initiative, strong relationships, commercial instincts, and fresh ideas, and who is equally comfortable developing new business and ensuring the studio operates at an exceptional standard.
