Role Description
Seeker Music is seeking a Summer Associate Law Clerk for a full-time, on-site position located in Los Angeles. This person will work closely with Seeker Music's General Counsel, Dan Stuart, a music industry veteran with substantial experience at AWAL, Manatt, and King Holmes Paterno & Soriano. Daily tasks will include legal research, reviewing and analyzing contracts, assisting in compliance matters, and maintaining Seeker's contract management system. This role offers hands-on legal experience in an innovative music industry environment, with opportunities to work on projects related to music rights acquisitions, intellectual property, rights management, and other aspects of music and entertainment law.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in music and contract law, with a preference for candidates currently pursuing or having completed a law degree (or equivalent)
- Experience in legal document preparation and management
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Proficiency in legal research
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated interest or experience in the music business and entertainment law
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
