Job Description
Tik Tok Growth Intern
Start Date: October 26 · Commitment: Internship (10hrs per week)
About Wave Bye
Wave Bye is a pre-revenue women's health startup developing a non-hormonal, OTC period pain medication, founded by OBGYN Dr. Margo Harrison. Ahead of our 2028 product launch, our north star is building community and awareness.
Wave Bye’s Values
- Mission first - Women lose about seven years of their lives to their periods. We exist to give that time back.
- Proactive, not reactive - We don’t accept pain as something to push through. We get ahead of it in both our products and how we build the company.
- Bodily autonomy - When a woman understands her cycle, she’s in control of her health and can live on her own terms
- Full potential, every day of the month - Biology shouldn’t hold anyone back. That applies to every woman and everyone on our team.
- Candor - We tell the truth, even when it's hard, and then make a plan to go forward
About the Role
You'll own Wave Bye's TikTok from end to end. That means deciding what we post, then filming, editing, publishing, and tracking the results. This is a fully remote role where you'll work autonomously and own your time and output.
Mission of the Role
Your mission is to make TikTok Wave Bye's front door, the first place people discover us and start to trust us. You'll grow our reach and engagement by building a real community around frank, honest period education. That means creating content people save, share, and comment on, and showing up in the conversation after you post.
What You'll Do
- Post 5x/week: concept, film, edit, caption, publish
- Spend 2 hrs/week in the app: spot trends, scout sounds and formats, reply to comments
- Build and keep a content calendar that ships on schedule
- Ensure each post is complaint with our brand, language and claims guidelines
- Track performance per post, report weekly, and adjust based on what works
Characteristics we are looking for
- Comfortable working independently in a small, fast-moving team
- Genuinely online: you know current TikTok trends, formats and pacing without being told
- Self-starter: comfortable owning a channel with light oversight
- Curious about women's health, or quick to get up to speed
- Detail-oriented and reliable: you follow the process every time
Competencies
- Writing: hooks, captions, and comment replies that sound human and on-brand
- Trend judgment: knowing which trends fit the brand and which to skip
- Analytics: reading TikTok metrics (views, watch time, saves, shares) and acting on them
- Planning: running a content calendar and hitting deadlines
Expectations & Commitment
Hours and meetings
- Expected hours: 10hrs per week
- Standing meetings: Monday Metrics Review 8 AM, Friday Wrap Up 8 AM (MST)
Expectations
- Schedule flexibility: The role is fully remote and mostly async. Set your own hours around your posting schedule, share your weekly availability with the team, and give a heads-up in advance if a post or deadline is at risk.
