Job Description
Reading with AFF is a great way to sharpen your writing skills and get an inside look at the current topics and trends within the industry. Readers who are accepted are required to join our State of the Union – Onboarding Readers Call, prior to receiving script assignments. Readers will be asked to assess the script in the following categories: Concept, Plot, Structure, Characters, Dialogue and Overall. Notes are required for all categories with a minimum of 150 characters per section, except the overall section which has a requirement of 750 characters.
One of the most exciting aspects of reading for AFF is each reader has an opportunity to earn a Festival Badge to attend our 33rd Annual Austin Film Festival and Writers Conference this upcoming October. AFF readers also receive exclusive virtual programming opportunities throughout the year:
