Job Summary:

The Associate Producer position with ESPN Originals will support production for all ESPN Originals projects and series. Work includes editing excerpts and trailers for ESPN series, providing footage for third-party packagers, producing linear specials of ESPN episodes, project managing ESPN series and assisting in the overall production of ESPN Originals projects. We are looking for a candidate with strong communication skills who can work effectively and collaboratively with a variety of filmmaking and production teams, both internally and externally. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and edit excerpts, trailers, and sponsorship elements.
  • Produce and format episodes for linear distribution.
  • Distribute assets to integration, marketing, PR, social, and editorial.
  • Attend production meetings and distribute recap notes.
  • Collaborate with PA/CA to maintain internal project management database.
  • Write series and episodic descriptions.
  • Pitch ideas for assets and integrations for assigned series.
  • Assist with project managing ESPN Original series through creative development and editorial oversight.
  • Assist with ESPN Original award submissions.
  • Pull and provide footage for third-party packagers.
  • Mentor and aid in development of PA/CA growth.
  • Assist with production of ESPN Original projects, as needed.

Basic Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in production.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Specific knowledge of television production techniques used in digital environment.
  • General knowledge of the sports media industry.
  • General knowledge of the documentary landscape.

Preferred Requirements

  • Ability to use Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Media Encoder.
  • Experience editing or producing documentary projects.

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

 

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree
