LiteBox is a creative production lifestyle studio in Hartford, CT specializing in video production, live streaming, event production in food, live music & entertainment and motorsports.

Our Studio Test Kitchen produces cooking shows, recipe videos, branded food content, and interactive virtual cooking classes for clients and audiences in Hartford and beyond.

Position Summary:
We are looking for a Media Production Assistant with experience in food content production, live video, and restaurant/culinary environments. This role is perfect for someone who can operate cameras and streaming equipment, work comfortably in a professional kitchen setting, and deliver excellent service to clients. You’ll work with chefs, talent, and event teams to create engaging recorded and live culinary content.

Candidates with restaurant, catering, or event kitchen experience will be given preference. Comfort on camera as a cooking show host or presenter is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in producing high-quality food videos, live-streamed cooking classes, and culinary events.
Operate and set up cameras, lighting, microphones, and streaming platforms.
Work alongside chefs and culinary talent during shoots to ensure smooth production flow.
Prepare kitchen sets, organize ingredients, and maintain a clean, safe cooking environment.
Provide exceptional client service during studio productions and events.
Support content planning, prep work, and light post-production editing.
Manage technical aspects of live-streaming platforms (Zoom, YouTube Live, etc.).
(Optional) Serve as an on-camera host or assistant during cooking segments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in video production, live streaming, or digital content creation.
Previous work in restaurants, commercial kitchens, or catering events.
Strong technical skills with production equipment and streaming technology.
Excellent communication skills and client-facing professionalism.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production and hospitality environment.
Basic video editing skills (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar) are a plus.
Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 lbs.
