Disney’s Consumer Products (DCP) division is the business of The Walt Disney Company that brings stories and characters to life through innovative and engaging physical products and digital experiences across more than 100 categories, from toys and t-shirts to apps, books, and console games, as well as multiple franchise brands including Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, and National Geographic.

Responsibilities

The Global Brand Commercialization Artificial Intelligence (AI) team is a fast-paced, dynamic team focused on creating and implementing new AI tools across the Licensing business globally. Key areas of focus for this team are leading and partnering closely with cross functional partners and external consulting firms to drive the building and rollout of two new groundbreaking solutions across Product Development (PD) and Audit.

This position will focus on the PD track and is ideal for a candidate who possesses strong project management and PD background, analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills. Across all responsibilities, the manager will be challenged to develop and improve processes while driving project deliverables against deadlines and working effectively with cross-functional partners around the world in Commercial, PD, Finance, Accounting, Technology, and external third parties.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the Business side of the overall project, ensuring timelines and key milestones are met, budget is in line with expectations, and identify and mitigate project risks

  • Drive discussions between internal Disney Business subject matter experts (SMEs), Disney Technology teams, and third parties.

  • Track project progress, identify issues and risks, and provide regular reports to stakeholders to ensure projects stay on track.

  • Provide stakeholder management support across diverse group of internal & external partners.

  • Drive global change management for AI adoption in partnership with third parties and other internal teams, leading stakeholder engagement, communications, and training across various regions.

  • Lead the creation, updating, maintenance, and distribution of key presentations for program-wide initiatives and project-specific deliverables.

  • Establish and maintain project management methodologies, standards, and best practices to ensure consistency across projects.

  • Lead a team of other project managers and business experts that are dedicated to the project

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an analytical discipline

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Project Management

  • Experience working on large scale complex technology matrix projects

  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to create executive level deliverables

  • Extensive experience in Excel and PowerPoint required

  • Effective communicator. Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills, experienced in building relationships with teams, and strong organizational skills

  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively

  • Experience leading other project managers or project teams

  • Self-starter who excels in a team environment and who challenges the status quo by continually searching for opportunities to improve internal processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Product Development Background is a plus

  • Six Sigma, PMP or other project management certification(s)

  • Experience in applying Agile methodologies and leading process improvement projects

  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence projects and implementations


The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $124,900 to $152,500 per year and in Orlando, FL is $105,700 to $145,300 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
