Description

Betches is looking for a VP of Production to sit at the center of our next phase of creative growth — a visionary builder who is excited by the challenge of turning big, culture-driving ideas into world-class execution at scale. This role is equal parts creative partner, strategic operator, and production architect: someone who helps our teams dream bigger, then designs the systems, workflows, and processes that make those ideas real.

As the senior-most production leader across the company, the VP of Production will oversee production and post-production while partnering closely with creative and business leads to bring projects of every size to life — from social series to podcasts to premium, multi-platform franchises. You’ll play a defining role in how Betches operates as an entertainment brand, translating creative vision into clear production strategies, budgets, and timelines, and ensuring our output is intentional, performance-minded, and unmistakably Betches. This is a big-picture thinker who can also dive into the details when it matters, rolling up their sleeves to make sure the creative vision truly comes to life.

The VP of Production brings a deep, current understanding of technical production, audience behavior, and the evolving ecosystem of social, comedy, and entertainment. You know what succeeds across established and emerging platforms, and how to shoot, shape, package, and distribute content for maximum reach and impact across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and beyond.

Roles & Responsibilities

Serve as the senior-most production leader across the company, setting the vision for how Betches produces content at scale across all formats and platforms.
Partner with creative business leads to plan and execute productions across scripted, social, celebrity, and podcast formats.
Act as a creative thought leader across all verticals, championing creative experimentation that pushes Betches into new storytelling spaces.
Establish best-in-class production standards, ensuring consistency across all Betches brands and franchises.
Translate creative concepts into full-scale productions, with detailed plans, timelines, and budgets.
Ensure production capabilities align with revenue goals, business priorities, and future expansion plans, ensuring we’re professionalizing our output as an entertainment powerhouse.
Build and implement scalable production systems and operational frameworks that enable Betches Studios to expand into new genres, franchises, and revenue streams.
Oversee end-to-end production logistics, from pre-pro through post, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
Identify and implement workflow improvements — streamlining communication, file sharing, and post-production pipelines. Identify opportunities to adopt new formats (AI-assisted production, virtual production, vertical-first editing workflows, etc.) to keep Betches at the forefront of digital entertainment.
Optimize content performance across social video platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and more), ensuring videos are built for engagement, discoverability, and audience expansion.
Lead and mentor a growing team of producers, editors, and production managers, fostering a culture of creative excellence, efficiency, and accountability
Work closely with studios team members and our data team to assess performance, optimize content reach and engagement, and ensure the brand meets audience growth and revenue KPIs
Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Programming leads to scope, pitch, and deliver high-value productions for advertisers, partners, and internal IP
Support the development of new monetizable franchises across digital, social, audio, and events.
Coordinate freelancers, vendors, and post-production partners as needed.
Recommend production tools, gear, and systems that enhance quality and efficiency.
Partner with finance and department leads to track costs, forecast spend, and optimize resource allocation across multiple projects.
Stay ahead of technological, platform, and audience shifts to continuously evolve our production approach.

Qualifications

A creative producer or production lead with 13+ years of experience in digital or social-first content production.
Significant experience in video production, development, and execution
Deep understanding of production workflows, budget management, and creative operations.
Equally comfortable talking creative direction and cost efficiency — you think in both shots and spreadsheets.
A natural collaborator who knows how to lead cross-functional teams and keep multiple stakeholders aligned.
Obsessed with platform trends, storytelling formats, and how to make content perform across TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and beyond.
Highly organized, solutions-oriented, and able to turn chaos into clarity.
Familiarity with and strong enthusiasm for entire Betches Media brand
Experience in, or appreciation for comedy and comedy projects.
Quick, witty creative mindset with a knack for ideation and thoughtful experimentation

Compensation

The expected annual base salary for this role is $170,000 - $200,000 a year. Years of experience, skills, and other factors such as location are considered when determining the salary offered. Total compensation and offer package will include the following perks below.
