runDisney is a dynamic and continually evolving business with outstanding complexities and opportunities. The Sr. Manager of Events and Services is responsible for leading and providing vision to a team of professionals in the coordination, planning and execution on incredible key race weekend elements, inclusive of Club runDisney membership activations, race anniversary celebrations, yoga, race weekend park buy-outs, athletes with disabilities, celebrated charities and volunteers. This role partners and provides event expertise to runDisney Business Development and Event Management on potential growth opportunities. You will identify, analyze, and implement continuous improvements and innovation related to streamlined premium experiences while maintaining Disney and health and fitness theming. You will report to the General Manager - Sports Logistics & Event Management.

What You Will Do

  • Lead, inspire, and empower a diversified team of Managers, Guest Experience Managers, and Coordinators
  • Deliver on business goals and help drive buzz and coverage of priority programs and products
  • Responsible for department financial health, including long term planning, forecasting and prioritization of funds
  • Drive enhanced Guest and Cast metrics for the area with a focus on elevated service, efficiency, and optimization that benefits the overall business
  • Support change, take calculated risks to integrate process, remove barriers and align performance goals
  • Partner with teams to support readiness and contingency planning
  • Responsible for internal and external hiring, recruitment strategies including feedback & performance management
  • Contribute toward the Park’s strategic response to the broader The Walt Disney Company's goals (i.e., Environmentality and Sustainability)

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years experience as Leader leading salaried direct reports
  • Disney operational knowledge or experience navigating within the company
  • Previous experience with confidential information
  • Strategic thinker and creative problem solver, with attention to detail
  • Dedication to promote an inclusive work environment that supports workforce diversity
  • Able to develop positive relationships with team members and clients
  • Capability to communicate across teams and levels ensuring everyone understands updates, priorities, and appropriate course of escalation to drive results
  • Advanced skills in simultaneously handling demands and priorities amidst constant change while holding self and others accountable.
  • Proficiency in basic computer functions necessary to operate in a Windows environment and other technologies
  • Schedule availability may include weekends, variable shifts, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Leadership experience in Event Operations

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
