About Us
As Qurate Retail Group’s newest business unit, vCommerce Ventures is designed to accelerate our innovation in livestream commerce and establish our leadership in this space while also supporting the continued expansion of QVC’s and HSN’s linear video commerce (“vCommerce”) experiences to new audiences. vCommerce includes video-driven shopping across linear TV, ecommerce sites, digital streaming and social platforms. vCommerce Ventures brings together livestream commerce teams and initiatives from across QVC and HSN into a separate, global business unit, with dedicated marketing, business development, content development and production, programming, planning, and merchandising resources.
About The Role
Reporting to the VP, Streaming Strategy & Partnerships, the Head of Streaming Data & Analytics role will play a pivotal role in shaping our strategic direction by leveraging data to support the Streaming team’s strategic objectives and drive measurable impact on our business goals. You will have the opportunity to build a team of skilled professionals, ensuring the development and execution of a comprehensive Data & Analytics strategy that will optimize spend, drive growth and enhance engagement. This role requires a strong blend of analytical and technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
What You Will Do
Data Strategy Development
  • Collaborate with the Streaming Leadership Team to define Streaming Insights & Analytics function’s vision, goals, and strategies that align with the business’ objectives.
  • Develop a comprehensive and cohesive plan outlining how the organization will leverage data to achieve business objectives.
  • Define the goals, priorities and principles related to data management, data usage and data-driven decision making for the organization.
  • Foster data-driven culture through data analytics upskilling and investing the Streaming Insights & Analytics team’s expansion and continuous development.
Data Architecture & Governance
  • Oversee team responsible for the processes and technologies associated with efficient and secure storage of data.
  • Support Data Architecture team to build our strategy for data architecture, database management systems, warehouses and other solutions.
  • Clearly define and communicate data ownership by implementing data governance policies across the Streaming organization.
  • Establish a Data Governance Office to oversee initiatives, make decisions and conducting ongoing framework reviews.
  • Define and enforce the standards for data usage, security and compliance to establish accountability, transparency and trust in our data.

Data Analysis & Visualizations
  • Build a capable team that will examine and interpret data to extract meaningful insights, identify patterns and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Leverage a range of techniques, including statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining, to uncover trends and patterns within the data.
  • Introduce a unified analytics platform to promote consistency and improve collaboration.
  • Develop a strategy for Visualization & Dashboarding that presents data easily understood and interpreted formats.
  • Enhance insight-driven decision-making for the organization by making complex information more accessible and facilitating organizational comprehension of key metrics and trends.
Leadership
  • Recruit, build and continuously develop a team of talented insights, data and analytics professionals that can execute the consumer insights and analytics vision, goals and strategies in support of the Streaming business.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Streaming Leadership Team, providing guidance and strategic recommendations based on consumer insights and market research findings.
  • Foster a data-driven culture through ongoing training opportunities and promoting a self-service analytics model.
  • Role model our QRG Leadership Competencies and associated attributes & behaviors.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product, Merchandising, and Content, to ensure consumer insights are effectively integrated into business strategies and decision-making processes.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Business, Statistics) is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in DSAA with at least 5 years in leadership capacity; experience in Retail, Media & Entertainment, eCommerce, CPG and/ or FMCG industries preferred.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing data & analytics strategies that drive business growth and impact decision-making.
  • Strong expertise in a wide range of research methodologies and statistical analysis techniques, as well as experience with data visualization tools and software.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a proven ability to inspire, develop, and mentor high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey research findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and a deep understanding of the consumer goods industry and market dynamics.
For New York City based roles only: The annual gross base salary range for this position is $148,000 - $276,000. Salary ranges are general guideline only, and actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience and geographic location as well as business and market conditions.
