The Graphic / Digital Designer is a key creative player and member of the Creative and Marketing team at OEG, helping bring music experiences to life through branding, advertising and in-venue experiences. Focused on developing digital media and print advertising, retail and e-commerce, video editing and animation, brand conceptual and standards materials, website and email images, logos, collateral, presentations, and other marketing, retail, venue, sales, and promotional materials that reflect the Opry, Ryman Auditorium, Ole Red, Wildhorse Saloon, ACL Live, and other OEG brands and channel communications while achieving the objectives of specific programs and initiatives.
The Graphic / Digital Designer owns and is responsible for ensuring graphic brand standards are met and upheld across all marketing disciplines and contributing to work generated by brand marketing partners, retail, sponsors, internal departments, and others for assigned projects and branding.
Create concepts, ads, logos, digital designs, videos, signage, operational designs and collateral to reflect strategic branding in look, tone, and feel. Develop effective, well-crafted work by staying up-to-date on design and communication trends and best practices in file and software use and storage. The best candidates will have keen attention to detail – from gathering and implementing project requirements to maintaining organization, thoroughness, and ownership of projects through completion.
Work closely with the marketing team and in partnership with the Retail and Sales teams and project stakeholders to efficiently assess and solve design challenges. This includes determining appropriate material specifications from web/mobile sites, digital media and branding executions, printed products, printers, etc., to ensure files are built correctly and delivered on time. Traffic all materials. The best team member will enjoy serving our internal and external clients by managing expectations throughout the process and communicating efficiently. This team member will work closely with project managers to keep pieces moving through conflicts and deliver high-quality end-products.
Create and execute our weekly marketing and communications initiatives schedule, including digital imagery, video updates, social imagery, digital collateral, weekly flyers, marquees, presentations, posters, banners, signage, and other collateral. Meeting deadlines is essential. We measure the success of a piece by how well it met the goals of the communication, how well it met the branding strategy and messaging, and how it performed with audiences.
Maintain intercompany and marketing partnership communication platforms across signs, social media, video, channels, in-venue and more, including Opry assets, Ryman Auditorium marquee, airport signage, etc. Our design team maintains our branding assets (logos, fonts, files, software, etc.) and manages the timely delivery and implementation of communication outlets. Responsibility is an essential trait for every member of the team.
Represent our team well through collaborative relationships with venue partners, internal departments, stakeholders, and outside of the organization, including freelance designers and printers, while ensuring favorable pricing and prioritizing our needs. Secure production bids, review proofs, and place orders for applicable projects. Our design team interfaces with vendors, contractors, business partners, customers, and guests. We rely on our Marketing team to represent OEG values in every interaction.
Support the greater Marketing and Creative teams with enthusiasm, creative insight, investment in long-term marketing plans and efforts, and on-site promotions, shows, and events. The best candidate will be versatile and ready to own and jump in where needed to create the best experience for fans.
May supervise graphic design interns, freelance artists, and agency staffers responsible for brand marketing projects as needed
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
Degree in Graphic Design or related field preferred
Experience
4+ years proven graphic design experience at an agency, in-house team, or related client experience - including conceptual and brand campaign work, web and digital optimization, video editing, GIF and animation techniques, and tidy file maintenance
Video editing and creation experience in the brand creative and advertising field preferred

Creativity and versatility in designing solutions to marketing challenges – 1) ability to produce effective, persuasive sales and marketing designs for digital and print media, 2) ability to produce professional concepts, page layouts with apt integration of copy, photography, and illustrations, as necessary, and 3) assist team in native video capture and video editing for marketing channels
Superior skill in the production of work from well-crafted design to tidy file structures and efficiency in managing files across vendor portals
Excellent digital design knowledge, including for various and differing needs by platform
Superior knowledge of branding and advertising creative application, from knowing where a CTA button belongs on a display ad, to editing thoughtful video for in-venue screens
Advanced knowledge and proven experience with Adobe products (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with HTML and CSS is a plus
