The Role
Minimum 3 days in the office, per the department’s schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Monthly closing procedures to ensure accuracy of financial reporting
- Preparation of monthly financial reporting packages for submission to group
- Work with Business Partners to gather necessary Information for Financial Statement Preparation
- Primary responsibility for balance sheet management, including balances with other group companies
- Work with A/R, A/P and royalties and licensing teams to ensure accuracy of balances, and timely collection or payment
- Account, analyze, and forecast for Productions and Ancillary businesses including revenue, costs, and deliveries
- Assist Finance with billing for production funding
- Assist Finance in updating production ultimates for costs and revenue from cost reports
- Performs other financial analysis and support as required
- Responsible for quarterly consolidation profit and loss account and balance sheet reporting
- Preparation and compilation of audit documentation and assist in the statutory audit process
- Work with distribution group to ensure accurate reporting of distribution revenues and costs
- Overhead reporting, tracking, and forecasting
- Devise and implement improvements to financial reporting
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Essential Skills and Experience
- Finance, Accounting or Business Administration degree required
- CPA Qualified Accountant preferred with experience within a finance function
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience; Television production experience preferred
- Confident and enthusiastic team player
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analysis capability
- Strong working experience and knowledge of EPR systems, preferably SAP and Business Warehouse; experience with production accounting software is a plus
- Ability to work with tight deadlines and manage priorities
The pay rate for this position is between $105,000 - $115,000/annually, exclusive of any bonuses or other incentive compensation (if any).
