Job Description
The Manager of Content Services is responsible for managing and leading a team of Content Services supervisors and specialists in the day-to-day operations of Digital Cinema. They oversee and guide the operations, both at administrative and technical level to ensure effectiveness and smoothness of the organization’s workflow and processes. They liaise closely with other department leads, including but not limited to client services, QC, project management, in developing and executing plans to meet project goals and deadlines. They collaborate and build close relationships with operational executives and the research development team to ensure future growth and success of Digital Cinema that is aligned with the company’s vision and goals.
You should have a thorough understanding of the technical aspects of the various content specifications and workflows. You should be highly motivated, possess leadership qualities, have a flexible attitude, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and collaboration are essential. Be able to work as part of a team; provide guidance and motivation; and manage changing priorities and workloads.
Duties
- Manage, lead, and support a team of Content Services Supervisors and Specialists
- Check, prep, and conform source materials
- Mastering and creation of DCPs and media outputs
- Define, implement, and revise policies, workflows, training materials, and guidelines for the organization
- Oversee and train the team on procedures and applications
- Collaborate and service client in review and work session
- Work with management to prioritize projects and jobs, ensure adequate bandwidth and resources to meet deadlines
- Provide feedback and recommendations to improve operations, systems, and workflows
- Administrative tasks include but are not limited to scheduling, payroll submission, and tracking and reviewing team goals and performance reviews
Requirements

- Proven work experience as an operational manager or similar

- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and sensitive information
Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Experience in picture and audio editing, transcoding/encoding, sound sync, and color conversion
- Solid knowledge of film and digital file formats
- Knowledge in colorspace, aspect ratio, transfer characteristics, video and audio codecs, compression, and media characteristics
- Familiarity with tools and applications such as DVS Clipster, Colorfront Transkoder, Vantage, Resolve, Baselight, Aurora, Final Cut Pro, and Pro Tools
- Experience in DCP and IMP mastering is a plus
- Experience in post-production finishing; QC experience is a plus
- Proficient with Mac OS, Windows, and Linux
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Digital Cinema
- Minimum 2 years of management experience in a post-production environment
Education
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent professional experience preferred, not required.
