About the Role
We’re looking for a Video Storyteller to take ownership of Rho’s video and social content end to end, from concept to execution. This is a high-impact creative role for someone who lives and breathes startups, understands what goes viral (and why), and knows how to build a brand by showing, not telling.
You’ll operate as a one-person in-house creative studio, writing, shooting, editing, and publishing original content across X and YouTube first, then expanding to TikTok, Instagram, and beyond. You’ll build Rho’s brand from zero to breakout by crafting scroll-stopping stories that make founders stop, watch, and share.
This role is based in our NYC office and will report directly to the VP, Marketing.
Responsibilities

Own and grow Rho’s brand presence on X and YouTube, then scale to TikTok, Instagram, and other emerging platforms.

Write, produce, shoot, and edit performance-driven content for social and brand channels.

Serve as an internal creative agency, pitching and executing original video concepts aligned with marketing priorities.

Build and manage a publishing calendar that intersects Rho’s brand strategy with timely cultural and platform trends.

Own Rho’s top-of-funnel brand storytelling, driving awareness, engagement, and long-term brand affinity through standout video.

Monitor performance metrics and audience growth to inform content strategy and iterate quickly.

Stay on top of emerging formats, hooks, and viral trends, especially across X and YouTube.
Qualifications

3+ years in content creation, video editing, or creative production, whether in-house, agency-side, or as an independent creator.

You’ve built and grown a significant personal or professional social presence, and your portfolio speaks for itself.

Deep fluency in social platform dynamics, especially on X and YouTube. You know how to create for each format, from sharp one-liners to compelling thumbnails.

Full-stack creative: you write scripts, shoot sharp footage, edit quickly, and package for performance.

Strong eye for design, storytelling, and brand consistency across every frame and post.

Passion for startups, storytelling, and crafting content that earns attention and builds belief.
You’re proactive, self-directed, and thrive in fast-paced environments with high creative autonomy.
Our people are our most valuable asset. The salary range for this role is $100,000-$150,000.
Base salary encompasses multiple levels and may vary depending on relevant experience, skills, and business needs. In addition to base pay, Rho offers equity, healthcare benefits, and paid time off.
