POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision from the Director of Youth Summer Camps, the Edit Lab Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the Edit Lab(s) dedicated to the Youth Summer Camps, establishing a workflow process to ensure all footage received is cataloged and organized, assisting with the supervision of Technical Assistants (TA) who are responsible for advising students during post production, providing hands-on assistance with the safe operation of technical equipment, edit acting for film scenes and monologues using industry standard software, and assisting with in classroom needs and other day-to-day responsibilities to ensure the successful operation of the Youth Summer Camps.


Effective Date: Seasonal Full Time: 06/24/2024 to 07/19/2024


REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The day-to-day duties required of this position may vary.

  • Assist Students during their labs

  • Assist Instructors during Hands on animation Classes

  • Prepare Student Film Projects

  • Coordinate between departments (scheduling, equipment, etc.)

  • Cleaning and Maintaining workspace

  • Various duties as assigned by Dept. Chair


KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Experience working with Animation Tools and Softwares

  • Ability to troubleshoot errors

  • Additional Animation program knowledge a plus.


EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:

Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Game Design production experience preferred

  • Ability to stay current in the field and to obtain new skills using new technologies.
