NewsNation - News Video Editor - Part-time

NewsNation is seeking a skilled Part-Time Editor to join our team. This position supports the creation of high-quality video content for live Cable News Broadcasts as well as other Digital and Internal content. The ideal candidate is efficient, creative, detail-oriented, and comfortable working under daily news deadlines and has flexible availability which includes Weekend Early Mornings, Weekday Evenings and Holidays.

Job Description:

• Editing assignments will range from Voice Overs and Sots, News packages to long form documentary style pieces while maintaining sound news judgment
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Strong communication skills while working with Show Producers
  

Qualifications:

• Five plus (5+) years’ editing experience in fast-paced live television environment required
• Must be proficient in Adobe Premiere and other Creative Cloud Applications.
• Must work well in a collaborative team environment, be able to multitask. A problem solver and quick thinker to resolve existing issues and to find work arounds.
• Must be self-sufficient and have a “press-on-regardless” attitude.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field preferred.
• Perform other duties as assigned by network leadership.
  

This is an IBEW 1212 Union position and union membership is required.

Salary Range: (per experience) $50-$60 / hour
