FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX6 Milwaukee is a dynamic and innovative media organization committed to delivering top-notch content across multiple platforms. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented team player to join our Sales Team and contribute to our continued success. As a Sales Assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting the FOX6 Sales Team to increase sales across all platforms. Your primary focus will be day-to-day interaction with FOX Station Sales (FSS), the company’s national sales organization. You will collaborate with various facets of the sales department, including digital sales, traffic and research.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•   Enter advertising orders/revisions in the Wide Orbit Traffic system
•   Confirm sales orders in Wide Orbit Connect
•   Communicate with the national salespeople regarding all preempted commercials and make-good offers, staying on-top-of of unresolved issues through completion
•   Provide weekly exact commercial advertising times to salespeople or advertisers
•   Work with Finance department on invoicing, discrepancy and collection issues
•   Notify salespeople and clients of any late runs due to programming overruns, late breaking news, etc.
•   Support Sales Managers by working with creative services on commercial production projects
•   Support local Account Executives with order entry, proposals, and reporting
•   Oversee paid programming by working directly with FSS to ensure station has all paid time periods sold with program titles and CIA checks
•   Work with traffic department on advertising copy traffic
•   Work with other sales support personnel when needed
o   Work with sales management on political advertising including maintaining contracts, ensuring FCC paperwork is complete and verifying that cash in advance payments have been received
o   Maintaining the Political files on the FCC website
o   Support other station departments and station initiatives when needed
o   Help with additional projects and duties when needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
•   Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
•   Meticulous attention to detail
•   Strong work ethic
•   Personable with good verbal and written communication skills
•   Ability to learn industry software including Wide Orbit and Kantar
•   Two or Four year college degree and prior work experience preferred

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $24.00-26.50 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
