Props Inc has been providing the entertainment, film/TV, and event industries with high-end custom props, set pieces, and fabrication services since 2017. We specialize in advanced fabrication, CNC, 3D printing, resin casting, and full-service prop solutions for major productions and brands.
We’re looking for a 3D Rendering Artist / Graphic Designer to join our team and help bring our creative builds to life before they hit the shop floor. This role is hands-on, creative, and highly detail-oriented, with a direct impact on how clients visualize their projects.
Role Overview
The 3D Rendering Artist / Graphic Designer will be responsible for:
- Designing, modeling, and rendering fabrication builds with precise dimensions for client approvals and internal production use.
- Creating digital mockups and visualizations of props, scenic elements, and event builds.
- Collaborating closely with the fabrication team to ensure designs are both visually accurate and manufacturable.
- Preparing clear design presentations for clients, including exploded views, material call-outs, and scale references.
- Supporting branding/graphic design needs for custom signage, wraps, or digital artwork related to projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 3D models (SketchUp, Rhino, or equivalent) with accurate measurements.
- Produce high-quality renderings for internal review and client presentations.
- Translate creative concepts into technical mockups that guide the build process.
- Work with project managers and fabricators to troubleshoot design feasibility.
- Create 2D graphics, layouts, and mockups for props, signage, and event branding.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SketchUp or Vectorworks (required) and rendering plug-ins (V-Ray, Enscape, or similar).
- Strong background in graphic design (Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Understanding of fabrication processes (CNC, 3D printing, wood/metal builds, finishing) is a plus.
- Ability to create designs with precise technical dimensions and attention to buildability.
- Excellent communication skills for working with both clients and in-house builders.
- Strong portfolio showcasing both rendering work and graphic design projects.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in Rhino, Fusion 360, or SolidWorks.
- Prior experience in film/TV, events, or experiential marketing industries.
- Knowledge of materials, finishes, and production workflows.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 60 per week
