An Emmy Nominated Documentary Production Company is looking for a part-time Podcast Producer to join the team. You’ll work directly with the host, social/content team, and help streamline the storytelling process as we build momentum. This is a weekly podcast centered on true stories that feel too wild, strange, or unbelievable to be real — but are. From forgotten legal cases to surreal pop culture events and stranger-than-fiction narratives, the series blends narrative storytelling, commentary, interviews, and guest episodes. Think of it as WTF-level true stories, told with a filmmaker’s POV. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working independently, contributing creatively, and project management.

What You’ll Do

- Own podcast episode pipeline from pre to post.

- Manage guest recruitment, including outreach and calendar alignment with the host.

- Edit full-length weekly episodes (audio only or audio + video)

- Coordinating with the team to organize audio, video, and social assets.

- Select 2–3 social clips per episode for social media. (reels/shorts)

- Craft episode titles, descriptions and tags.

- Help streamline episode publishing process/workflow across all platforms (YouTube, Spotify, Website)

- Coordinate with host and team (via Slack, Notion, Google Workspace)

- Assist with guest preparation and bullet point talking points.

- Track performance data and suggest creative improvements

What You Bring

- Experience producing / editing podcasts

- Strong storytelling sense — pacing, rhythm, hooks, cliffhangers

- Familiarity with Riverside, Descript, Adobe Audition, CapCut or similar

- Bonus: motion graphics or YouTube Shorts editing

- Bonus: Interest in Film/TV, true crime, pop culture.

- Excellent communicator with strong organizational skills

- Part-time freelance (10–15 hrs/week to start)

- Remote, flexible hours

- Must be US-based (Los Angeles preferred)
