What You Will Do
The Costume Design intern will support Costume Designers and Costume Development Managers by completing design research, creating textile artwork & repeats, & assisting with various tasks throughout the costume design & development project lifecycle. Attend meetings, fittings and rehearsals to collect notes and communicate to the team.
Required Qualifications & Skill
Shown experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe InDesign
Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new programs
Proven experience producing technical illustrations and artistic renderings to be shared with clients and vendors
Strong verbal/ written communication skills and partnering skills
Materials Required
Portfolio either PDF or link to website listed on resume
Education
Currently enrolled as a Senior, recent graduate or graduate level student pursuing a degree Fashion Design, Merchandising, Costume Design, Apparel Design, or related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Must be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
The approximate dates of this internship are June 2024 through January 2025
Must be fully available Monday through Friday (and sometimes weekends), for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
Must provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Orlando Florida area and have reliable transportation to/from work
