About the job

As a Strategy Manager at iCrossing, you will support the development and execution of strategic initiatives that help our clients improve their business performance, customer experience, and digital maturity. Reporting to the Strategy Director, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver actionable insights, support workshops, and produce high-quality strategic deliverables. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, digital acumen, and a passion for solving complex challenges with measurable impact. This full-time role requires 2 days per week in the office.

Objectives of this Role

  • Client Support & Execution: Assist in managing client engagements by supporting strategic deliverables and building strong working relationships with client stakeholders.
  • Solution Development: Contribute to crafting tailored strategies and identifying opportunities that support client business objectives.
  • Deliverable Ownership: Produce high-quality frameworks, presentations, and analyses that bring strategic insights to life.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with strategy and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities

Client Strategy & Support

  • Support the Strategy Director in developing strategic recommendations aligned with client goals.
  • Help prepare materials for client meetings and assist in the execution of strategic roadmaps.
  • Assist in identifying potential growth opportunities within client engagements.

Business & Digital Transformation

  • Conduct research and analysis to support transformation strategies across marketing, technology, and operations.
  • Assist in mapping current state processes and identifying areas for improvement and innovation.

Customer Strategy

  • Contribute to the development of customer personas, journey maps, and segmentation frameworks.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to surface customer needs and insights.

Workshop Support

  • Help design and facilitate parts of workshops, including preparation of exercises and documentation.
  • Support workshop logistics, note-taking, and synthesis of key takeaways into actionable outputs.

Deliverables & Analysis

  • Create compelling strategic deliverables such as decks, frameworks, competitive audits, and business models.
  • Conduct market, customer, and trend research using tools like Google Analytics, Brandwatch, and other platforms including iX proprietary tool set.
  • Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.

Internal Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal teams across experience design, SEO, analytics, and technology to support integrated strategy development.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, templates, and best practices.

Business Development

  • Support the creation of pitch materials, case studies, and proposals with strategic insights and examples.
  • Assist in identifying potential upsell opportunities through research and account support.

Cross-Functional Program Strategy

  • Expand scope beyond individual client engagements to support broader, integrated initiatives across SEO, tech, and media strategy.

Metrics & Impact Champion

  • Own the process of defining success metrics and tracking performance of strategic recommendations over time, tying work to business outcomes.

Qualifications

Experience

  • minimum 4+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, digital marketing, or customer experience.
  • Experience supporting strategy development and execution in agency or consultancy environments.
  • Familiarity with creating customer journeys, conducting research, and working in cross-functional teams.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in building presentations and visual storytelling using PowerPoint or Keynote.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of digital marketing, platforms, customer experience, and emerging technology trends.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to derive insights from qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with scenario planning and strategic modeling frameworks.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
  • Exposure to AI and emerging technologies in a strategic context.
  • Demonstrated capability in creating customer journey maps, segmentation, and personas.
  • Strong facilitation skills for workshops, sprints, or collaborative sessions.

 

For Chicago, the estimated salary range for this position is between $ 90,000 and $120,000. For New York City,  the estimated salary range for this position is between $ 100,000 and $130,000.  The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
