The Royal Caribbean Group’s Celebrity Cruises brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Entertainment Experience, Headliners Specialist on the Fleet Entertainment Team reporting to the Director, Entertainment Experience.


This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Support the Manager, Entertainment Experience through review of talent submissions and live performance to ensure it is appropriate for the brand
  • Select and review appropriate replacement headliner options due to last minute complications
  • Assist Manager of Entertainment Experience with casting Headliners across the fleet
  • Ensure contracts are entered in a timely fashion and adhere to all guidelines
  • Conduct regular orientations, meetings and audits of onboard talent
  • Maintain consistent quality of onboard Headliner entertainment by utilizing Medallia, EOV reports, shipboard feedback and consumer insight to make recommendations for current and future projects and performances
  • Approve and support manifesting all guests of Entertainers
  • When required due to itinerary, enter Headliners into E1 when needed for crew manifest and enter projected sign-on and sign-offs for shipboard HR department
  • Understand regional requirements for embarking and disembarking entertainers in regard to downlining, embarking, and disembarking Headliners
  • Oversea travel booking and address any concerns and irregularities, Including: airfare, hotels, and transfers. Work closely with acts or agents, and ship to re-arrange travel plans in cases of weather, cancellations, itinerary changes, etc.
  • Update our online EMS system with pertinent information regarding Guest Entertainment and Enrichment Speaker travel, Input passport, flight details and hotel details into EMS
  • Maintain and update contracts and talent information within our online EMS System
  • Update casting grid. Label all entertainment needs in EMS for as directed by the Manager of Entertainment
  • Assist with presentations and meeting requirements for Entertainment Experience Department
  • Assist with administrative duties associated within the Entertainment Experience Department
  • Assist with proposals, presentation decks, and logistics for special events that fall outside regular cruises inclusive of charter sailings and group specific events, shoreside events, holiday events, and inaugural sailings

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Entertainment, Arts Administration, or a minimum of one to three (1-3) year’s comparable work experience in the entertainment or cruise industry with an emphasis on programming
  • Strong ability to gather, interpret and report accurately on data
  • Proactive mindset, forward-thinker who acts with a sense of urgency and is on the pulse of trends within entertainment experiences, youth programming and the cruise industry
  • Excellent business communication skills both verbally and in writing; ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, analytics reports and legal documents
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from executive management, groups of managers, employees, staff and customers
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to build and maintain successful business relationships throughout the department, the company as a whole and with external vendors
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities
  • Previous hotel, resort, casino, theme park experience, a plus
  • Previous onboard cruise ship experience, a plus
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various departments within the organization, both shipboard and shore side
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • This position requires up to 25% International travel. When in office, 75% of time working at Port of Miami office and up to 25% of the time at Production Studios in North Miami
  • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job
  • The environment includes work inside/outside the office, travel to other offices, possibly travel domestic and international, and work in shipboard functions. A high noise level is possible if visiting shipboard or offsite locations
