Capezio is seeking a qualified candidate for our flagship Broadway NYC location.

Primary Responsibilities:

Customer & Manager Liaison

  • Professional communication with customers, management, and associates.
  • Maintain manuals, binders (Theatrical, Pointe, Repair), and document retention.
  • Communicate product knowledge and customer feedback.
  • Enforce policies (cash handling, refunds, attendance, dress code, special orders, etc.).
  • Perform delegated tasks to support daily store operations.

Customer Service

  • Deliver white glove service for high-value clients.
  • Handle complaints carefully.
  • Develop ongoing customer relationships and encourage bulk orders.
  • Support sales floor and phone service.
  • Assist with shoe orders, repairs, and custom orders.

Daily Operations

  • Create/track purchase orders, file, and archive orders.
  • Maintain prompt email response within 24 hours.
  • Handle reconciliation, factory order follow-up, SMU tickets, warehouse stock orders.
  • Keep customer records updated (house accounts, tax exempt, bulk accounts).
  • Oversee bulk/custom orders and stockroom organization.

Inventory & Loss Prevention

  • Monitor theft prevention.
  • Ensure proper stock handling: receiving, ticketing, organizing shipments.

Bookkeeping & Financials

  • Manage register reports, cash deposits, and AP paperwork.
  • Maintain customer billing/contact records.
  • Weekly reporting to Store & Theatrical Managers.
  • Support sales goals for Theatrical Division.
  • Organize tickets, maintain “Theatrical beat book.”

Merchandising & Promotions

  • Support promotions, signage, displays, and seasonal visual standards.
  • Rotate and maintain displays per guidelines.

Outreach

  • Assist with store/corporate events.
  • Outreach to potential new accounts.
  • Arrange in-studio fittings and stay aware of local theatrical happenings.
  • Document outreach efforts in daily sales email.

Housekeeping

  • Operate store equipment (registers, vacuums, ladders).
  • Perform/store cleaning duties, stock maintenance, and uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Ensure stockroom and cash wrap are neat and organized.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Act as manager when Store/Assistant Manager is unavailable.
  • Duties include training, assigning work, performance appraisals, conflict resolution.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing, walking, lifting, climbing, bending, visual activity.

Other Requirements

  • Flexible schedule (days, evenings, weekends, holidays).
  • Ability to supervise/delegate as needed.
  • Travel for banking, transfers, and meetings.
  • Strong communication skills (oral/written, 12th grade level).
  • Basic math skills (including percentages).

This role is essentially a blend of sales, operations, customer service, and light supervisory duties, with an emphasis on theatrical clientele and bulk/custom orders—making it a critical support role in driving both customer satisfaction and revenue.

Pay-$23-26/hr with benefits
