About

EARLY PR is a Black woman-owned creative agency on a mission to shape stories that grow brands and ignite social movements. We specialize in communications, marketing, brand strategy, and earned media for corporations, social justice nonprofits, government institutions, and minority founders. We work exclusively with value-aligned clients who prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion—not just in words, but in practice. Our team is made up of creatives who believe wellness fuels creativity and that authentic storytelling can shift culture.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a creative and digitally savvy Social Media Intern to support content creation, engagement, and storytelling across client and agency platforms. If you live on TikTok, love playing with captions, and have an eye for trends (without losing the message), this is for you. You’ll work closely with our team to elevate brands with purpose and push forward campaigns that make a difference.

Essential Duties

  • Assist in developing, writing, and scheduling social media content across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Threads, etc.)
  • Monitor industry trends, audio, and content styles to inform strategy
  • Engage with audiences by liking, commenting, and responding to DMs/comments
  • Create social media storyboards and draft content calendars
  • Help track analytics, create reports, and highlight performance insights
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions for social campaigns and content series
  • Support hashtag research and influencer outreach for brand campaigns
  • Help organize digital assets and maintain content libraries
  • Occasionally assist with filming, editing, or sourcing content as needed

Requirements

  • Strong desire to learn with a proactive and collaborative attitude
  • Solid understanding of social media platforms, trends, and content formats
  • Basic experience with content creation tools (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, or similar)
  • Strong writing skills with a conversational and creative tone
  • Familiarity with scheduling platforms like Later, Planoly, or Buffer is a plus
  • Passion for storytelling, branding, and social change
  • Current enrollment in or recent graduate of a marketing, communications, or digital media program
  • Bonus: comfort being on camera or filming content when needed

We strongly encourage applications from BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and first-generation college students. EARLY PR is invested in building the future of communications by training the next wave of conscious creatives.
