"We Change Lives." Walt Disney Imagineering is the master planning, creative development, engineering, production, project management, and research and development arm of The Walt Disney Company. Its accomplished corps of Imagineers manage the creation - from concept initiation through installation - of all Disney Resorts, theme parks and attractions, real estate developments, regional entertainment venues, and new media projects.
The Senior Manager, Menu Planning and Development will help lead the Menu Planning team within the WDI Global Creative Strategy Studio which drives integration of the WDI vision and planning efforts! The team works closely with WDI leaders and groups outside of WDI including Operations, Finance, Marketing, & Global Business Development to lead and evolve WDI's project slate for all global locations to guide the greatest strategic value.
You Will
- Develop comprehensive, menu plan strategies and present to Senior Executive leaders under the direction of the Executive, Menu Planning and Development Strategy
- Host forums to review and guide experience menu decisions
- Facilitate Blue Sky project alignment between WDI and site leadership
- Provide analytical guidance on programming scope early in development
- See opportunities and build strategies for improving the planning and development process within WDI and with segment partners
- Lead the creation and synthesis of presentations and analytical tools which communicate planning strategy for WDI & WDP&R leadership
- Source and lead the development of new concepts and ideas for the segment
- Develop visually rich and impactful presentations with an authentic style
- Measure and recommend the potential impact and performance of new development while summarizing multiple sophisticated inputs into clear strategies and clear paths for decisions
You Will Have
- Minimum 7 years project management leadership experience
- Awareness of Disney Parks development history with the ability to train and connect with broad audiences
- Understanding of creative development, strategic planning, business and operational principles, forecasting and budget management
- Experience leading others providing mentoring and guidance
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, advanced Excel, and database software development
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of the WDI creative development process and knowledge of Disney Parks organization
- Demonstrated experience with the 5 and 10-year capital planning process, Menu Planning, and staffing strategies
Required Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Finance or related field
Preferred Education
- Masters of Business Administration

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $134,972.00-$181,060.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
