The Position

FanDuel Sports Network is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Research Producer to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Vice President, Talent Strategy & Sports Research / Analytics, this position will provide critical research support for our sports programming, including live broadcasts, pre-game shows, and studio shows. This role will collaborate closely with producers, directors, and on-air talent to ensure that all broadcast content is accurate, relevant, and engaging.

This is a hybrid position in Atlanta, GA.

The Game Plan

(What you will do)

  • Conduct thorough research on sports teams, players, statistics, and historical data to support production needs.
  • Gather and verify information from reliable sources, including databases, websites, and interviews.
  • Prepare research briefs and fact sheets for producers and on-air talent in advance of broadcasts.
  • Assist in developing storylines and segments by providing background information and insights.
  • Monitor live events and provide real-time statistics and updates to the production team.
  • Collaborate with the graphics department to ensure accurate and timely display of information during broadcasts.
  • Archive and maintain a comprehensive library of research materials, including statistics, player profiles, and stories.
  • Stay up to date on sports news, trends, and events to enhance the quality of production content.
  • Support the production team with additional tasks as needed, including scriptwriting and content development.

The Stats

(What to bring)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Media Studies, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in sports research, broadcasting, or production.
  • Previous experience as a researcher at a TV network preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of various sports, leagues, and current events.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in using research tools, databases, and content management systems.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Team player with a passion for sports and storytelling.
  • An understanding of sports betting and fantasy sports content.
