Our portfolio includes targeted streaming services AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK and HIDIVE; cable networks AMC, BBC AMERICA, Independent Film Company, Sundance TV and We TV; and film distribution labels Independent Film Company and RLJE Films. The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business.

We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team based in our New York, NY office.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparation of journal entries in conformity with US GAAP and Company policy
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and analyze P&L accounts
Review disbursements to ensure proper coding and adherence to Company policy
Prepare monthly roll forwards
Preparation of quarterly and annual financial reporting schedules
Coordinate preparation of requested data for internal and external auditors
Research accounting issues as requested
Assist in various other accounting related projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS (Preferred & Required)

Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA and Masters preferred
Minimum 2-3 years accounting experience
Effective time management skills; self-starter who works quickly and accurately
Ability to work well and excel under tight deadlines and periods of high volume
Strong analytical skills with a desire and curiosity to understand and own a process
Strong Excel skills and comfortable learning new systems

The base compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 commensurate with experience.
