Job Summary:
Hulu is seeking a Director of Content Programming to be a key addition to our Growth, Engagement and Retention team. This team is tasked with leveraging the Hulu app as a means to achieve our marketing objectives, with a focus on driving growth and engagement KPIs through strategic content curation, promotion, upsell, and optimization. As Director, you will lead a team of Content Programmers to create and execute on-platform campaigns and promotions, and shape the long-term programming and reporting strategy. You will also work closely with the Product team to define needs, tooling, and roadmaps. Responsibilities:
- Develop the Content Programming strategy for Hulu to optimize title performance, global engagement, growth, and support key business priorities.
- Oversee the flawless execution of campaigns and content experiences across all plans (VOD, Live TV, Premium Add-Ons, and The Disney Bundle).
- Optimize in-house programming tools to schedule, monitor, and adjust on-channel content programming.
- Oversee the development of holistic calendars and campaign performance and reporting on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadence.
- Leverage data and insights to identify content and engagement trends that will grow the business.
- Partner with stakeholders across The Walt Disney Company to align on strategies, plans and performance.
- Lead the strategy for scalable targeting to different audience segments, ensuring that all Hulu viewers see the right content at the right time and in the right place.
- Build the future of Content Programming across The Walt Disney Company, including product roadmaps, tooling, and cross-functional processes.
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in product, streaming television, content curation, engagement & retention, and / or audience development.
- 5+ years of experience managing a team.
- Strategic mindset with strong familiarity and comfort with using data to drive decisions.
- Robust product background with the ability to drive decision-making and impact.
- Excellent communication abilities including comfort presenting in front of executives, large groups, and leading collaborative meetings and discussions.
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow through.
- Fast learner with strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and desire to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapt to changing priorities seamlessly, and remain calm under pressure.
- Demonstrable experience and success in growing various audiences across different platforms.
- Deep love and expertise in all things television.
The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica, CA is $148,700 to $199,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
