Caesars Entertainment’s Director of Social Media, Las Vegas will be responsible for developing and implementing social media and influencer strategies related to the company’s hospitality, travel and tourism objectives for its resort properties in Las Vegas and beyond. Areas of responsibility include leading the content strategy development with the ideation, production, editing, and scheduling of content for Las Vegas destinations.

The Director will report to the VP of Enterprise Social and lead travel-based social media marketing for the Las Vegas region, as well as support regional properties as needed. This Team Member must have the ability to manage a small team and external agency partners/resources as needed.

Internally, the Social Media Director, Las Vegas will serve as a key liaison to property operations leadership and celebrity entertainment and culinary partners, providing guidance and creative ideas to maximize the properties’ amenities and drive awareness, engagement and intent.

They should be a seasoned social media marketer and strong communicator to create and execute impactful content for the city. They should create strategic and well-thought-out social media plans and ensure that they are carried out with perfection. This Team Member will be expected to draft integrated plans with PR and Marketing as well as handle multiple, diverse projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, strategic thinker, results-driven self-starter with a passion for content creation and strong relationships with influencers varying from macro to micro.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads the social marketing strategy and execution for all eight (8) Las Vegas properties with a specific emphasis on Caesars Palace inclusive of content creation, editing, and distribution across multiple platforms to grow audiences, awareness, and engagement.
  • Develop citywide social media campaigns to ensure that execution is innovative and best-in-class while generating authentic engagement
  • Collaborates with direct reports to creates and maintain content calendars to keep content strategy fresh, accurate, and up-to-date.
  • In addition to the city, the Director will manage and lead the day-to-day social media activities for Caesars Palace including hospitality, hotel, food & beverage, entertainment, pools, gaming and more.
  • Build and manage relationships with influencers and content creators to align with business initiatives and need areas while overseeing the process for discovery, negotiation, and following protocols for hosted experiences.
  • Leverage internal and external agency resources to facilitate a best-in-class content strategy
  • Drive accountability through effective project trackers, communication plans and success metrics on all projects
  • Align with senior level colleagues and partners to support business objectives, troubleshoot challenges as they arrive and drive impactful results for the properties through social media campaigns and executions
  • Build and manage a stable of strong national and regional influencers and content creator contacts
  • Lead from the front through hands-on content creation, strategic thinking and demonstrated ability to rally the team to take action
  • Facilitate teamwork and learning opportunities involving direct reports whenever possible; review content drafted by team; supervise monthly and campaign reporting and monitoring conversations about the market; evaluate the team’s effort collectively and individually by promptly reviewing work and providing constructive feedback
  • Spearhead social media marketing and amplification efforts for major property-based events
  • Complies with process and governance with the usage of enterprise social media publishing and analytics tools
  • Must have a positive attitude and the flexibility to work with several departments and personalities at all levels of the organization

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent work experience required
  • 8+ years of experience working in social media with strategy and leadership experience working with or a passion for food, beverage and travel industries.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills; strong proofreading and editing ability
  • Successful experience developing and implementing strategic and actionable social media strategies which produced superior results
  • Ability to prioritize and juggle numerous projects and deadlines within an extremely fast paced, high pressured and high-volume environment
  • Strong interpersonal, flexible and collaborative approach to work well in a team environment, across a variety of departments and properties
  • Good understanding of current issues and challenges in the evolving social media and content marketing landscape
  • Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom experience is a plus
