Microsoft Casual Games team is seeking a Senior Game Producer to lead a significant new, R&D (Research & Development)-heavy, game from development through a successful launch and into live operations. This is a crucial role for a production leader who excels at navigating the complexities of a large organization to ship high-quality, polished games. Responsibilities

  • Own project delivery from mid-stage development through launch and into live service, managing the roadmap, schedule, and key milestones.
  • Drive R&D (Research & Development) and Iteration on the title to rapidly prove-out key features.
  • Champion the launch process, serving as the key liaison for all compliance, legal, privacy, and security reviews to ensure a smooth path to market.
  • Lead a cross-functional team of developers, designers, artists, and marketers, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Communicate with clarity and urgency, providing regular proactive updates on project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Optimize production pipelines to improve efficiency, reduce friction, and ensure predictable, high-quality releases.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in production roles in gaming or entertainment industry, or other multi-disciplinary leadership
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience in development and shipping of at least one product release.
  • 2+ years experience managing relationships with stakeholders, clients, and/or customers.
  • 4+ years in game production, with a proven record of shipping successful titles in a senior role.
  • Experience guiding multiple games from development through launch and into live operations.
  • Experience with project management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.) and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in navigating compliance, privacy, and security frameworks within a large, matrixed organization.
  • Experience releasing games on multiple platforms such as PC, Mobile and Web.
  • Experienced using data and iteration to drive decision making and build alignment.
  • A resilient, proactive problem-solver who is comfortable with ambiguity and drives for clarity.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building consensus.
  • Deep experience with free-to-play and live service games.
  • Passion for and understanding of the casual games market.
  • Experience mentoring other producers.
  • Experience working with AI in games.

Game Producers IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
