This is an exciting opportunity to support the Character Production & Development (CP&D) Costuming Inventory team as we pursue our goal of creativity and innovation, mixing science and magic to achieve the perfect blend of the right inventory, at the right place, at the right time!  This role is on the dynamic team that plays an important part in ensuring we provide the best possible customer service to our sites and cast as we fulfill their costume needs.  On any given day you could assist with Corporate Character Costume orders, working with our Materials Handling team, supporting Operational garment needs or focusing on a site-specific project.  If you are passionate about Disney costumes, enjoy interacting with systems to accomplish your work, are energized by problem-solving, team-oriented and enjoy a variety of tasks you may be just the person we’re looking for to join the team!   

A Day in the Life…  

  • Perform SAP transactions such as organizing cycle counts, order processing and costing that ensure accurate Costume inventory  

  • Prepare journal entries and manage month-end processing requirements 

  • Partner with internal Costume team members to reconcile payment or quantities discrepancies with accounts payable 

  • Prepare documentation for international sales and shipments 

  • Utilize tools such as Excel to review, analyze and quality check data, identifying and elevating discrepancies for resolution 

  • Space planning efforts

  • Forecasting material purchasing needs

  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by leadership 

What we are looking for… 

  • Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, Smartsheet  

  • Knowledge of accounting and purchasing practices such as Accounts Payable 

  • Problem solving skills, as well as continuous process improvement skills 

  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task 

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail 

  • Solid business acumen and an approach that leads with collaboration and inclusiveness 

Preferred Education: 

  • Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior or recent graduate or graduate level student pursuing a degree in Business, Supply chain, Finance, Data Management, Fashion Merchandising, Costume Technology, Apparel Buying, Apparel Development, Sourcing, or related field

Internship Eligibility:

  • At the time of application, must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from college within the past six months OR be currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program

  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization

  • ​Candidates must be fully available to work full time any time including days, nights, weekends, and holidays for the duration of the internship

  • Must have reliable transportation to/from work​

  • Must be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines

Program Length: The approximate dates of this 6-month internship are January 2024 through June 2024
