Job Summary:
Every day at Disney Parks, Experiences and Products we take pride in bringing the magic of Disney to life. Our Product Strategy & Planning team leads the strategic business approach to drive incremental Revenue/ OI growth by cultivating and evaluating product ideas including potential franchise integration and other diversity, equity & inclusion (DE&I) consumer programs, estimating their commercial contribution and orchestrating the positioning within the portfolio.
This includes both assessing the current product offerings, understanding the various Disney Signature Experiences (DSE) industries and competitive landscape for upcoming trends, and helping to influence and shape each of the DSE businesses long term strategies from a product perspective. This work will be done in support of the business leaders within DSE, providing insights and guidance on how to advance work already being undertaken while also helping to identify new opportunities for consideration.
The Senior Analyst, Product Strategy & Planning is responsible for contributing to the development of product recommendations that align with DSE priorities and growth strategies by leveraging consumer insights, financial and business reporting systems, and insights from cross-functional leaders. Performing the role with excellence includes engaging with multi-disciplinary partners, managing complex programs, partnering with leadership at all levels within DPEP, and demonstrating business savvy.
The Product Strategy & Planning Manager position reports to the Senior Manager, Product Strategy & Planning.
Responsibilities/You Will:
Synthesize disparate data sources to evaluate the state of the business relative to the competitive marketplace
Engage diverse perspectives to identify opportunities for new experiences, services or content that are compelling and connect with our diverse audiences
Identify opportunities to maximize efficiency or find new approaches that maximize revenue or OI growth
Develop analyses to estimate the potential impact of new initiatives and build presentations to share findings with stakeholders and champion recommended changes
Support cross-functional teams in scenario-planning for revenue growth and optimization strategies
Basic Qualifications/You Will Have:
Minimum of 3 years professional experience in Business Planning, Finance, Brand Management, Product Development, Marketing & Sales Strategy or the equivalent
Understanding of Disney Signature Experiences products and services
Ability to build strategic alliances/relationships within and outside the Disney organization
Experience participating in cross-functional teams
Demonstrated collaborative and solution-oriented approach
Proven critical thinking skills, foundational to developing strategies and strategic planning
Experience in project management and driving ideas into action
Skilled at understanding performance metrics to evaluate and optimize programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid presentation skills
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Preferred Education:
MBA or strong business experience and background
