Tell Somebody is an LA-based event production company specializing in pop-up EDM shows in unconventional spaces—laundromats, diners, arcades, and beyond. Our motto is “Partying where we shouldn’t.” We’re building the next wave of nightlife culture by combining high-energy house/EDM shows with creative storytelling and social media presence.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a passionate and motivated Videographer Intern to join our team. Your role will be to capture the behind-the-scenes energy of our events and help us build a YouTube series that documents our journey, while also creating short-form content for platforms like Instagram and TikTok.

  • Capture content that showcases the “party where we shouldn’t” ethos.
  • Edit footage into:
  • Episodic content for YouTube (mini-documentary style).
  • Short-form clips for Instagram Reels & TikTok.
  • Work closely with the Tell Somebody team to shape creative storytelling around our events.
  • Maintain organized media files and ensure quick turnaround for social media posting.

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in nightlife, music, and digital storytelling.
  • Basic knowledge of camera operation (DSLR, mirrorless, or professional equipment).
  • Video editing skills (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar).
  • Reliable, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced live event environment.
  • Bonus: experience with motion graphics or social media content creation.

Perks & What You’ll Gain

  • Build a portfolio with real-world event content in unique and unconventional venues.
  • Gain experience in the live music/events industry.
  • Creative freedom to experiment with storytelling and editing style.
  • Be part of a growing cultural brand with opportunities for future paid roles.
  • Networking opportunities with DJs, artists, and industry professionals.
