The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences promotes excellence in international television programming and is the organization that presents the International Emmy® Award to the best television programs produced and initially aired outside the U.S.

 

We are seeking two or three part-time interns for a semester-long, unpaid internship. This is an in-person Social Media Marketing Internship, and the candidates must be based in NYC or able to commute to Midtown, Manhattan. Students must be able to get school credit.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for students seeking experience in television, entertainment, and/or award ceremonies. Interns will learn about the creative and business aspects of events related to international television in a warm environment with a highly skilled and encouraging team. Interns will work closely with the Marketing & Communications Department to learn the detailed events process.

 

Interns can ideally commit to at least two afternoons and/or mornings per week. They must be fully available to work from Friday, November 21st, to Monday, November 24th, for the 2025 International Emmy® World Television Festival and 53rd International Emmy® Awards Gala.

 

The interns will assist the Marketing & Communications Department with various tasks, including, but not limited to:

·      Creating and editing short-form videos optimized for social platforms that will perform well on Facebook and Instagram Stories/Reels

·      Helping with creating social media calendars

·      Creating social media content on the day of the events

·      Preparing captions for social media posts

·      Interviewing Nominees and Members of our Organization

·      Red Carpet and Award Ceremony Coverage

 

Our ideal candidate is someone with:

·      A background in marketing, communication, or a related field

·      Experience and a comfort level with social media tools and techniques

·      An ability to juggle several projects at once with a natural sense of urgency

·      Fabulous oral and written communication skills

·      Experience in managing social media for live events

·      Deep understanding of social media platforms, in particular of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Threads

·      Working knowledge of social media analytics and implementation to engage an audience

·      Experience with image/video editing software, Microsoft, Adobe Photoshop/ Illustrator, Canva, and/or content management systems (Sprout Social)

·      Deep interest in global trends and awareness of cultural differences

·      International mindset, i.e., you are multicultural/multilingual, having spent time studying and/or working abroad
